Ingredients:
8 Guerrero Flour Tortillas Fresqui-ricas
3 cups of ground beef
1 cup of cheddar cheese
1 egg, beaten
3 cups of vegetable oil
how to make it:
1. In a 3-inch deep frying skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 ½ inches of vegetable oil to 320 ̊F. Keep warm.
2. In a small mixing bowl add the ground beef with the cheddar cheese to make picadillo. Set aside.
3. Set the 8 tortillas on your clean counter one inch apart. With a baking brush, brush egg wash on the edges. Distribute the picadillo mix evenly among the 8 tortillas, filling the center of each.
4. Fold each tortilla in half and press the edges with a fork until tightly closed. Gently place the quesadillas into the hot oil and fry for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
5. Take the quesadillas out of the oil with a slotted spoon and set on a paper-towel lined plate.
6. Serve as soon as they are cool enough to handle, with your favorite salsa
