Ingredients:
6 Guerrero Flour Tortillas Fresqui-ricas
2 cups of granulated sugar
3 teaspoons of ground cinnamon
3 cups of vegetable oil, for frying
how to make it:
1. In a large mixing-bowl, whisk together the sugar and the cinnamon. Set aside.
2. Heat (medium-high) 1 ½ inches of vegetable oil to 300˚F in a frying pan at least 3 inches deep.
3. With the kitchen tongs, slowly place one Fresqui-ricas tortilla into the hot oil. Allow it to bubble up and get crispy (about 2 minutes), flipping over until golden brown.
4. With a slotted spoon, pull the tortilla out of the oil and place on a plate covered with a paper towel, to drain excess oil.
5. Repeat with the rest of the tortillas.
6. Place each warm tortilla into the mixing-bowl and coat evenly with sugar and cinnamon.
7. Set the buñuelos on a serving platter and enjoy!
