Ingredients:
12 Guerrero Fresquricas Flour Tortillas
3 Cups of vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon of confectioners’ sugar (powder sugar)
1/2 Cup of maple syrup
Vanilla ice cream
how to make it:
1. Cut the Fresquiricas tortillas into 4-6 rectangles, and pierce them with a fork.
2. Heat 1 ½ inches of oil to 320 ̊F, in a heavy skillet or deep pot over medium-high heat.
3. Fry the tortillas a few at a time, as they puff up flip them over, about 2 minutes per batch. Set aside on a baking sheet covered with paper towels. Cool slightly.
4. Dust with powder sugar, serve warm with a scoop of ice cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.
